Possibly, but I'm not the creative sort, I try to make other peoples ideas work. And the last 2 times, people went "can you not just keep it mostly the same" ;)

Star Citizen - Are RSI doing something shady?
« on: July 15, 2015, 16:31:29 »
I found a PC Gamer article linked on Facebook, had a read through it along with a couple of others linked from it. And yes, they do sound a bit off.

Short version

Some guy backed the game via kickstarter back at the start. He's a game dev and prolific blogger and recently criticised RSI/CIG/Star Citizen on his blog a few times. He even called for the FTC to investigate the company and their practises. In response, they refund his kickstarter money and close his account without any prior notice. RSI try to defend their position saying that he was "toxic" and trying to promote his own stuff using Star Citizen.
Whole thing sounds sketchy as hell, a company with nothing to hide would have reacted differently, even if federal investigations are a bit disruptive.

I looked into this a bit too, Derek Smart made battlecruiser 3000AD among other unfinished and kinda broken games. I've read both sides of this thing and he really does seem to be trying to use this to promote his new game (apparently a poor mans planetside 2)... which I now have a closed beta key for lol

I wonder, maybe I should put RSI and Star Citizen into the meta tag for when search engines access the site ;)
