Possibly, but I'm not the creative sort, I try to make other peoples ideas work. And the last 2 times, people went "can you not just keep it mostly the same" ;)

PSP Hacks
« on: May 22, 2009, 19:22:55 »
I just picked up a PSP-1003 today.

Any of you lot had experience hacking a PSP to run games off the memory stick?

Google is indeed god, but there are 100s of hacking tutorials and I was wanting someone with personal experience so I can use one that works.

Thinking of buying ( or making ) a pandora battery.

I have a hacked phat PSP that I hacked about 2 years ago.  Running 5.00 M33-6.

Found these sites very helpful.

http://dl.qj.net/PSP-Pandora-Deluxe-v3.1-(Full-version)-PSP-Homebrew-Games/pg/12/fid/25526/catid/490

Wasn't to difficult when I did it, but it's a scary process.  If I were going to do it again I would opt for the Pandora battery.

When I did mine the first time I had to use a Hotshots Golf save file, and downgrade to firmware version 1.5 after that the upgrades are easy if a bit scary on the thought of bricking it.

Well, I spent £8.99 on a pandora battery. Couldn't be bothered modding one myself.

3 downloads and one reboot later, I'm now running the latest custom firmware on the PSP.

Downloaded and installed Ghosts n Goblins to make sure it works. Now I just need to install a pops loader and make some ISOs of Final Fantasy VIII and it will be perfect  8)

Ah yes. Final Fantasy. One of the few games where the bad guys will happily sit and wait their turn to hit you :P
It was tricky but I finally managed masturbate to this.
